Amharic Search

To search in Amharic on the Net with GeezEdit, just go to http://freetyping.geezedit.com and click on “Search”.  Clicking on the second button gives a box to type whatever is to be searched. Type in Amharic and then click on the “Search“ button on the right. The current setting is Google, Yahoo or Bing search.

The same principle applies to mobile phones. Currently one can search in Amharic on cell phones with Android OS. The new GeezEdit beta site is at http://s158249154.onlinehome.us/mobile/. However, one may see Amharic on the Android phones and Tablets, while the movement of codes between documents requires the font.
 

Type the link above in the web search of your cell phone.

It should be noted that this search method for Unicode glyphs is different from the
Ethiopic one I published in 2002 for the Geez characters distributed on eight
ASCII fonts.
