Ethiopic and Google Search

Google is one of the reliable Ethiopic search engines. It also has its own unique features in that it retrieves doc, html and pdf Ethiopic files. Google automatically generates html versions from Ethiopic doc files as shown in the picture below. However, the conversion from pdf to html works only for English. 

Search for "technology" in Amharic is by typing "tknlj" in the search box. (This is because "tknlj" is typed as "teknoloji" in EthioWord and recognized as "tknlj" by the search engines.)

In an attempt to evaluate the overall direction of Google, I searched for the word "Amharic". At Ethiopic.com, the "Amharic" word appears in many formats than any other site on the Net. Yet, Ethiopic.com sites did not show up in the first ten results by Google search indicating an arbitrary and illogical regressive trend in Google's potential as a reliable search engine for Latin and Ethiopic words.
