The Harerghe Ethiopic Typeface

The Harerghe typeface was made from scratch using pixels. This was
because that was the only way to make fonts in the mid eighties. This
font which some also refer to as ModEth, was the first Ethiopic computer
typeface. Many loved the 24-pin dot matrix printout and some still use
it. The picture below is a scanned image of a page typed with Harerghe from issue 5/6 of Sem Inna
Worq magazine of 1989.
