EthioWord/GečzEdit
EthioWord is an add-on to Microsoft Word for
Windows and comes with its own TrueType font. It works in Word versions
6.0, 7.0, 97, 2000 and 2002. The Ethiopic documents share most of the English
features of Word.
The Ethiopic pages on this site were typed with
EthioWord and then saved as HTML. The doc as well as the PDF formats can
also be posted on the Net. The Ethiopic and English can be sent by
email. The Geez documents are searched on the Net just like the Latin
without the need for any special program. Minor editing of the documents
is possible in many programs with the use of the fonts alone. Click here
for examples of how EthioWord and GeezEdit are utilized.
