The Incomplete Unicode Ethiopic (1996)

The picture below is presented for historical reasons to show how the enemies of Ethiopic ganged up against us to undermine Ethiopic. This real Ethiopic with incomplete character set was presented as proposed Unicode standard for Ethiopic in 1996. Ethiopic characters for minority languages were supposed to be added to the ones below as fake character parts of the Amharic typewriter variety by ligation. This was done in spite of the availability of our Geèz characters for years, even in the DOS ModEth software that preceded Unicode and published opposition in Amharic (]mro) and English in 1991, 1993, 1994 and 1995. An English translation of the 1991 Amharic publication is posted here. An incomplete Ethiopic is as good as an incomplete Unicode.
